  It is mainly used as carved glass etching agent, preservative, disinfectant, solvent for beryllium oxide to beryllium metal, analytical reagent and surface treatment agent for silica steel plate, and is also used for the manufacture of oxidants for ceramics and aluminum-magnesium alloys and cleaning agents for steam generation systems in boiler feed water systems, organic synthesis fluorinating agents, electroplating solutions, and reagents for extracting rare elements.
